The Clinical Observation on a Case of Post-Herpes Neuralgia owing to the Aftereffect of Ramsay Hunt Syndrome

Abstract
|
|
|
Objectives: We got a good effect on the patient who had post-herpes neuralgia owing to the aftereffect of Ramsay Hunt Syndrome.
Methods: We selected the oriental medical therapy in accordance with the pain region with western medicine. And we analyzed a patient¡¯s condition by the use of Visual Analog Scale(VAS) and Yanagihara`s unweighted grading system.
Results: Through the oriental medical therapy, the patient¡¯s pain and western medicine dependence were reduced step by step. And the score of Visual Analog Scale(VAS) became lowly, and Yanagihara`s unweighted grading system was elevated.
Conclusions: About the patient who was sick and was not controled by western medicine owing to post-herpes neuralgia of the aftereffect of Ramsay Hunt Syndrome, the oriental medical therapy in accordance with the pain region and differentiate syndromes could be good result.
